I am so excited to share with you how God is still moving in remarkable ways as my team and I gear up with prayer and open hearts to serve those in need in the heart of Cambodia approximately May 29th – July 4th. We will be helping with sex trafficking, and building back homes and communities. The only way I can do this is with God’s guidance and protection. I would like to personally extend the invitation to join me in this journey with prayer and if the Lord leads you, donations. Prayer is the most important way you can join me. Just as Paul emphasizes in 1 Thessalonians 5:25 and Colossians 4:2. Secondly, with your help and generous donation we can make a difference on the other side of the globe (1 Corinthians 9:14, 2 Corinthians 9:7). This world is broken, and it desperately needs the light and hope of the Gospel.
Fortunately, I was raised in a Christian home knowing about Christ and attending church. It was not until my early teen years I had an impactful and radical encounter with God. Here at a small youth retreat it no longer was my family’s faith but my own. This led to a hard journey of pride and my own desires. After many years of highs and lows, I was led to Grand Canyon University to prepare for ministry. God, rich in blessings, blessed me with some scholarships to help pay for school. With this, I wanted to give back to God. I began to feel called into missions, specifically Cambodia.
Cambodia is found in southeast Asia south of China and bordering Vietnam. This people group is unfortunately still recovering from an aggressive communist takeover in the early 70s which has led to low schooling and economic levels. The average Cambodian earns $789 a year. Even worse, Cambodia is a part of the highway of sex trafficking. With boys and girls of young and old ages being trafficked. Even more heartbreaking is that their government is not taking steps to prevent or rescue these victims.
As I prepare to embark on this adventure in Cambodia I would like to extend the offer for you to join me on this journey. There are three primary ways this is possible, firstly by praying for me. Prayer is the most important as there are many tangible, mental, and spiritual trials ahead. Secondly, if there is anyone you might want to extend this opportunity to go with us (other friends, family, church). Lastly, financially partnering with me. There is a $5000 goal May 17th for me to be able to go help. God is fully capable of this and I am so excited to see how He shows up and provides this need.
